Dollar for dollar, search engine ads still produce better ROI than social media ads from Facebook. The main reason is that search engine ads have intent. People go on search engines to intentionally look for things. Facebook ads are basically banner ads, but they can have success because you can choose the types of people that see the ads. Search is more bottom of the funnel, people closer to being ready to buy vs social media ads which are more top of the funnel that usually take a while longer before they’re ready to buy.
